Here we see the corn from the last crop that grew before the tornado.
The flower next to it is a symbol of new life.
Mac’s 45 acres cleared the inspection! The Korean team from NJ that we mingled with at the Baptist church that first day finished the job. He will recover the investment he has in cleaning up the debris. He’ll be putting this toward finishing his own house. Additionally, he can lease the land out again for growing crops. Praise the Lord! We learned from Katie and Chris that just 2 days after the tornado, Mac was out helping a neighbor right his trailer that had blown over. After working together most of the day, Katie asked Mac about what group he was there helping with. Mac told her he was a neighbor there to help. She asked if his home was ok then, after the tornado. Mac showed her his home, splattered against the nearby tree line. He had lost it all, and was there helping his neighbor. Mac made us think hard about what we have, and what we are doing with what we have.
