Preparing for this trip, truely I didn't know what to expect.  I learned that you just prepare by praying that God will just show you how to do everything when you get there.  Coming to Alabama I thought I would be a big impact on people, but really, they are having a big impact on me.  This guy I met yesterday, when we were cleaning up his yard, he said, "reality check, when you realize all you have left is all you have on." I thought to myself that's crazy these people lost everything and still want to give God the praise for what they have left.  I walked away from God, and still struggle with the same sins, but over something not even close to as bad as losing everything, and I didn't want anything to do with Him, and these people taught me that no matter what we need to praise God and thank Him for what we have, because we don't even deserve to be here, but yet we have a purpose to be here, and that purpose should be to show other people that Christ will forgive them no matter what the cost.  My friend once told me, "everything happens for a reason," I think that everything that happened in my life happened for a reason and that reason brought me here today to share with other people and help them to know whatever they are going through they aren't alone.
