The team has built basically 230 feet of stud walls in a hot, muggy and did I mention hot former sock factory building. We are building the 80 foot long by 16 foot high rear wall and two 75 foot by 16 foot high side walls to establish a large room for a church (Livingstone Ministries) to occupy in the near future. Future plans include adding classrooms outside the walls we built for Christian schooling. Yesterday we finished building the stud walls and put up a couple of pieces of sheet rock. Today we were planning on get sheet rock up at least 3 levels. 68 1/2 inches away from completing that goal, a man walks in and asks "what are y'all doing"? We respond "building a church". His response was "no you are not, I don't have a building permit or archetect drawing". "Y'all need to stop what you are doing right now". And we did. While we did not get to contiune working we were assured by Pastor Chris that it was only a bump in the road, the paper work would be submitted and the work would continue. There is still a ton of work to do to meet a mid August deadline to open the school. If God is tugging on your heart to minister in Alabama (and you are especially skilled in taping and mudding dry wall), please go and help finish the project God had us start.
