Today we did VBS at Livingstone Ministries in Fort Payne which is Chris and Katie's church plant. We expected and planned for 15 to 20 kids and ended up having 50!! Also many parents stayed and listened and some participated too.  It was a blessing to have so many smiling faces singing and worshiping Jesus. We opened up with praise and worship songs with about 10 kids and helped them learn the motions. We then set up rotating stations from crafts to lesson to games to snack time. At crafts, Deta and Brandy taught the kids how to make evanglism bracelets which taught the children about how a relationship with Christ starts and grows. We also made flowers that went along with the lesson that Heather gave. Heather taught the children the Bible verse that we chose for our VBS and also the motions that helped them remember it. The verse was Romans 8:39, "Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." The kids also did games which were very interactive, and the kids were full of energy. We also provided snacks for the children which included goldfish, cookies, and a juice box. Lastly, we all did the Bible verse together and sang songs again and ended everything with 50 kids and about 12-15 parents. Overall, the day was a complete blessing and we are so happy to have affected and shared the love the Christ with so many people.
